What kind of computer do I need to run your software?

System requirements can be found here.
You don't need a super computer, but the more grunt you provide, the harder our software will work.

What are the differences between Pro, Raster, Lite, Bureau, etc?

Blackmagic

  • Pro: Proofing for all file formats including 1-bit, CTP RIP, PDF and postscript.
  • Lite: Proofing for 1-bit and CTP RIP files.
  • 4UP: Lite, with 24.17in / 614mm print width limit.
  • 2UP: Lite, with 13in / 330.2mm print width limit.
  • Bureau: Proofing for PDF and postscript files.

Megarip

  • Pro: Print all supported file formats.
  • A1: Pro, with 24in / 610mm print width limit.
  • A2: Pro, with 17.24in / 438mm print width limit.
  • Screen Print: Pro, with separated output only.
  • Raster: Print TIFF, JPEG, PNG and Photoshop PSD files.
  • Raster A1: Raster, with 24in / 610mm print width limit.
  • Raster A2: Raster, with 17.24in / 438mm print width limit.

Is my printer supported?

Our software will work happily with most printers, spectrophotometers, and RIPs used in the industry.

What's available in the Media Catalogue?

Our Media Catalogue is a comprehensive collection of presets created by our in-house colour experts and dealer partners.
You can access the Media Catalogue using the Serendipity Client. It's as easy as pick, install, and print.

Can I try before I buy?

Sure thing. Your local dealer can organise that for you. If you are unable to locate someone, contact us and we will find one for you.

Do I receive any software updates?

If you purchased our software at version 9.1 or later, you receive one year (12 months) of free updates, including both major and minor updates, starting from the day of purchase. For users on earlier versions, you receive one year of free minor version updates. Our warranty policy can be viewed here.

Where can I find the pricing?

Please contact your local dealer for product pricing. If you are unable to locate someone, contact us and we will find a dealer for you.

Can I get help with installation?

Absolutely. Your dealer will help you with installation, initial set up, and on going support. Any technical questions can be raised with our support team if your dealer is unavailable.

Can I install on more than one computer?

The software can be installed on as many computers as required however, the Server application can only be run on one (1) machine at a time.
The Serendipity Client can be installed on as many computers as needed in order to connect to the Server. There's no limit to how many Clients can be used at any one time.

How do I activate a Software Dongle?

To activate a Software Dongle:

  • Go to the Server screen for your product.
  • Select the File menu > Activate Software Dongle option.
  • A login box will appear. Enter your registered Serendipity email and password to login.
  • Once successfully logged in, the Server will start. If Start Server on Launch is not enabled, press the Start button.

Note: You will need to deactivate the license to use the software on another computer.

Can I switch my current dongle to a Software Dongle?

No, it’s not possible to switch an existing dongle to the new Software Dongle. If you would like to use the Software Dongle option, you will need to purchase a new product.
